Refund policy

This policy sets out the terms under which cancellation, refunds, and fees apply in relation to property sourcing and investment services provided by Cornerstone Investing.

1. Reservation / Finder’s Fees (Standard Deals)

When an investor chooses to reserve a property opportunity, a reservation or finder’s fee is payable in full to secure the deal.

Cooling-Off Period

You are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date the reservation fee is paid. During this period, you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund, provided no contracts have been exchanged.

After the Cooling-Off Period

Once the 14-day cooling-off period has passed, the reservation fee becomes non-refundable, except where the issue arises due to the property or seller.

This includes, but is not limited to,

• adverse survey results,

• vendor withdrawal,

• title or legal issues,

• or material changes that affect the viability of the deal.

In such cases, Cornerstone Investing will offer either a full refund or a like-for-like replacement opportunity, at the investor’s discretion.

Refunds will not be issued after the cooling-off period where the withdrawal is due to investor-related circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, failure to obtain finance, a change of personal circumstances, a change of mind, or delay or inaction on the part of the investor.

2. Bespoke Sourcing & Retainer Fees

For bespoke “find me a deal” services, a retainer fee may be charged to begin sourcing in line with the investor’s agreed criteria and timeframe.

If a suitable deal is sourced and accepted, the retainer will be deducted from the final sourcing fee.

If no suitable deal is sourced within the agreed timeframe, the treatment of the retainer will be clearly stated at the outset and in the specific agreement for that service.

Retainer fees are payable for time, expertise, and sourcing activity and are generally non-refundable, unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

3. Refund Processing

Where a refund is due under this policy, refunds will be processed using the original payment method and will be issued within 30 days of agreement to refund.

4. Communication & Cancellation Requests

All cancellation or refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to Info@cornerstone-investing.com. Clear written confirmation will be provided once a request has been reviewed.
